This class is for the beginning to intermediate student in glass. We cover cutting techniques, kilns and kiln set up, tools, grinding and grinders, slumping, draping and technical information on schedules, COE of glass, types of glass, and glass terminology....and much more! You will start with small pieces of jewelry to introduce you to the cutter and breaker. In the afternoon of the first day, we will talk about design and how to use stringers, frit, and confetti in your piece which will be fused that evening. This piece will be approximately 12" square. The second day is filled with designing and completing your original, one-of-a-kind glass art! We will fire the piece....slump it if you like....and mail it to you within the next 2 weeks if you cannot pick it up.

Course Description:
Now it's time to do MORE! Let's explore design, frit, dichroic glass, sizzle sticks, stringers, fusing, and slumping in a larger piece. Cold working will be emphasized so that your pieces will have a professional finish. Students will create a 14" piece from start to finish. Pieces will be ready in 1-2 weeks.

Florals! Florals! Florals! The emphasis in this class is on design and dimension. We have created the class to accommodate those who have never taken a glass class but have a flair for art. We'll discuss design, color, fusing, slumping and, cutting techniques to add dimension. This is a technique rarely seen in glass, and Donna is one of the few artists that work in this area. Come learn how to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind glass pieces. Each student will finish a lovely 14" plate to take home. Pieces will be available in approximately one week.

Course Description:
Flowers and more flowers are put together in our Florals 201 class, and they just keep getting bigger, better, more complicated and more beautiful. We'll discuss and practice drawing skills, design, shading and painting with frit and confetti, firing temps for more textured and thicker glass, and slumping or hanging solutions. All of these elements will transfer to glass projects with many other subjects. Bring your love of color, nature, painting, building, and glass all together in one piece! All students will create a wall hanging that is approximately 13" x 17-19" that may be picked up or mailed within the next 2 weeks.

Jewelry for everyone teaches several approaches to making lovely pendants, pins, and earrings with eye-popping dichroic glass! You will learn glass cutting skills, good design elements, fusing techniques, cold working. and have so much fun doing it! In eight hours, you will create at least 5-6 wonderful pieces. Come join us! We have changed this class to 4 days for the same fee! The cost for the 4-day workshop is $650.00 plus the cost of one breaking tool that you may either bring w/you or purchase from us, but it needs to be this particular tool which costs about $75.00. You will love this tool....it is the best! This is a 4-day workshop which includes cutting, designing, and making a 12" bowl from beginning to end. This project will include beginning to advanced cutting techniques, slumping, design, and more. Even if this is your first class, we'll teach you all you need to know to accomplish the task. To make your piece look like a piece of fabric, you need to know how to make your own molds, and that's exactly what you'll learn to do...make a mold to slump your piece into and then take it home w/you.
