Fusing 101
Course Description:
This class is for the beginning to intermediate student in glass. We cover cutting techniques, kilns and kiln set up, tools, grinding and grinders, slumping, draping and technical information on schedules, COE of glass, types of glass, and glass terminology....and much more! You will start with small pieces of jewelry to introduce you to the cutter and breaker. In the afternoon of the first day, we will talk about design and how to use stringers, frit, and confetti in your piece which will be fused that evening. This piece will be approximately 12" square. The second day is filled with designing and completing your original, one-of-a-kind glass art! We will fire the piece....slump it if you like....and mail it to you within the next 2 weeks if you cannot pick it up.
Cost: $325.00 for the weekend, and that includes everything!
Fusing 201
Course Description:
Now it's time to do MORE! Let's explore design, frit, dichroic glass, sizzle sticks, stringers, fusing, and slumping in a larger piece. Cold working will be emphasized so that your pieces will have a professional finish. Students will create a 14" piece from start to finish. Pieces will be ready in 1-2 weeks.
Cost: $350.00 for the weekend.
Prerequisite: Fusing 101.
Florals 101
Course Description:
Florals! Florals! Florals! The emphasis in this class is on design and dimension. We have created the class to accommodate those who have never taken a glass class but have a flair for art. We'll discuss design, color, fusing, slumping and, cutting techniques to add dimension. This is a technique rarely seen in glass, and Donna is one of the few artists that work in this area. Come learn how to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind glass pieces. Each student will finish a lovely 14" plate to take home. Pieces will be available in approximately one week.
Cost: $350.00 for the weekend.
Florals 201
Course Description:
Flowers and more flowers are put together in our Florals 201 class, and they just keep getting bigger, better, more complicated and more beautiful. We'll discuss and practice drawing skills, design, shading and painting with frit and confetti, firing temps for more textured and thicker glass, and slumping or hanging solutions. All of these elements will transfer to glass projects with many other subjects. Bring your love of color, nature, painting, building, and glass all together in one piece! All students will create a wall hanging that is approximately 13" x 17-19" that may be picked up or mailed within the next 2 weeks.

Jewelry for Everyone!
Course Description:
Jewelry for everyone teaches several approaches to making lovely pendants, pins, and earrings with eye-popping dichroic glass! You will learn glass cutting skills, good design elements, fusing techniques, cold working. and have so much fun doing it! In eight hours, you will create at least 5-6 wonderful pieces. Come join us! Some pieces may need to be mailed or picked up during the next week.
Cost: $175.00 - for everything including sliver plate findings for some pendants and earrings!
Mosaics in Glass
Course Description:
Haven't you always loved a beautiful mosaic? Well, we are going to create a lovely large plate or table top (approx.14"). We'll start with cutting, grinding, and design, as well as, some technical aspects of glass. Frit, confetti, and stringers will be utilized to accent our pieces as well. Come join us as we play with color and light!

March Fusing Extravaganza
Course Description:
Spectacular 4 days for Fusers!!! We are offering a full 4 days of fusing for beginners that will give you a foundation to go anywhere with fusing that you'd like to go. The class will cover beginning cutting with four coaters, pattern bars, rod making, design, and slumping of a large piece which will be made with frit, stringers, dichroic glass, sizzle sticks, rods, and Bullseye glass. This class covers what you might expect to receive in 3 other classes all rolled up into one! It is not for the faint hearted...come prepared to work!

Floral Extravaganza
Course Description:
If you have no experience, you may take a one night cutting and grinding class before the class begins which is $40.00. Floral Extravaganza is for you if you want to make a large (14"x22" approximately) wall panel that is filled with flowers, dimension, and color that will knock you socks off! Three days of designing, cutting, building, and firing glass...what could be a greater way to spend your Fourth? This class will not be offered again until later in the year. Hurry...only 5 students accepted!

Labor Day Fusing Extravaganza
Course Description:
If you missed the class in June or July, you can make it up over the holiday! We are going to do a little of both the Contemporary class AND the Floral class for those that are just starting! We'll do two great projects that encompass cutting, design, tools, kiln operation, slumping, and more...much more! Then we'll have fun with a floral project...but no a small task! There's so much to learn! Three days packed with a lot of fun and a lot of work. We'll introduce to you frit, sizzle sticks, stringers, confetti, compatible Bullseye glass, dichroic glass and more. Don't wait! Classes fill quickly.

Fall Aspen
Course Description:
So many of you have requested a class for the Fall Aspens (15" x 21"). We have created the class so that you can make this wonderful piece even if you have never cut glass before. We think this will be one of the most gratifying classes that anyone offers because the piece is lovely. You will be amazed with what you can do! Call us if you are interested, and we will give you the details. Pieces may be mailed or picked up within 2 weeks.

Four Day Contemporary Workshop
Course Description:
If you have never cut glass, you can attend this workshop. You will learn about design, color, cutting, schedules, how to load your kiln, slump your pieces, make pattern bars and rods! In four days, you will make several pieces of jewelry using dazzling dichroic glass, an 8" mosaic w/frit, and an original 13" contemporary plate that is fused and slumped. It is easily 3 classes rolled into one so come ready to work!

July 4th Floral 3-day Weekend Workshop!
Course Description:
We will design, cut, arrange, fire, and slump a beautiful, dimensional 14" plate or bowl. You will learn how to make your florals look like paintings by shading with frit. As always, you will be given instruction on firing schedules, kiln set up, using molds and slumping, and much more technical information. Spend your Fourth with us learning how to make gorgeous pieces!

This is a new posting because we realized that many people like to do weekend workshops. This weekend you will learn what techniques I have developed to create lovely dimensional florals. You will make a 14" plate with a floral design that we will slump for you if desired. Not familiar with fused glass? Don't worry. This class is designed for the beginner to intermediate, and since we have small classes, we have time for you. And aside from that, we just have a wonderful time!

Four Day Contemporary Workshop No. 2
Course Description:
One class in June just isn't enough! So we have added another workshop in July. You have to see the description to believe it. If you want to go from beginning through intermediate in one fell swoop, this is the class for you. History of fused glass. What is fused glass? Cutting, rods, pattern bars, kiln set ups, firing schedules, kiln clean up, using frit, dichroic glass, rods, how to make a mosaic, how to slump and drape, various ways to hang pieces, and design are just a few of the techniques you will learn. It is intense, so come prepared to work hard. You'll take home four or more pieces of jewelry in several styles, one 10" mosaic, rods, pattern bars, and one 14" contemporary plate or wall hanging! You won't be disappointed.

Winter Aspen
Course Description:
We've added by popular demand our Fall & Winter Aspens classes. We do a Fall Aspen and a Spring Aspen, and they are about 15" x 21"....and you will love what you do. I guarantee it! It involves alot of difficult cutting, fritting, making stringer, painting w/frit, designing, and more.

Glass Weaves
Course Description:
We have changed this class to 4 days for the same fee! The cost for the 4-day workshop is $650.00 plus the cost of one breaking tool that you may either bring w/you or purchase from us, but it needs to be this particular tool which costs about $75.00. You will love this tool....it is the best! This is a 4-day workshop which includes cutting, designing, and making a 12" bowl from beginning to end. This project will include beginning to advanced cutting techniques, slumping, design, and more. Even if this is your first class, we'll teach you all you need to know to accomplish the task. To make your piece look like a piece of fabric, you need to know how to make your own molds, and that's exactly what you'll learn to do...make a mold to slump your piece into and then take it home w/you.
Cost: $650.00 plus $75.00 for breaking tool if needed
Landscapes!
Course Description:
WOW! A large piece of glass....just imagine a 15" x 22" (approx.) piece of beautiful glass, and you get to cover it w/a beautiful landscape scene! It is called "Painiting with Light." How wonderful is that? Using some mosaic techniques, frit for washes, stringer for detail, cut glass for dimensional effects, and so much more, you will create a beautiful piece of art. How? We will discuss elements of good design including light, perspective, and color to name a few. You can do this! You will work hard. You will learn so much. But it is so much fun....come join us and see!

Mini Landscape Workshop
Course Description:
Do you love those lovely painted landscapes? Then how much more in glass...it is called, "Painting with Light." We will not only learn about glass techniques using washes of frit, stringer details, cutting glass, adding dimension, but how to create an interesting landscape w/ points of interest, lighting, perspective, etc. You will take away a (approx. 10" x 15") lovely wall hanging and all the information you need to repeat what you have learned on your own.
